This painting represents old inner wounds we've tried to heal still being painful. I wanted to show the pain of healing inner wounds and working on yourself, only for it still to hurt and bleed. Healing your inner self can feel like a losing battle, and I wanted to paint how that can feel. Prepping a canvas only to rip it up. Stitching up cuts only to rip them open. Progress can seem like backtracking until you see the bigger picture. Healing isn't linear but you'll get there eventually. It just takes time. Keeping stitching yourself up.
